PDF Converter Settings

The settings in the PDF Converter Settings dialog box take effect only if conversion is started from the Microsoft Word Open dialog box. You can either select a processing mode for direct conversion in advance, or decide to use the PDF Converter Assistant.

To display the PDF Converter Settings dialog box from Microsoft Word

In Word 2007

• Click the PDF Settings button from the Nuance PDF Converter 6 tab and ribbon.

In Word 2000, 2002 and 2003

• Select PDF Converter Settings from the Tools menu.

To define a processing mode for direct conversion in advance

1. Display the PDF Converter Settings dialog box from Microsoft Word.

2. Select one of the following options then click OK:

1. • Automatically Convert as Standard Documents

   • Automatically Convert as Forms

   • Automatically Convert as Legals

To use the Converter Assistant from Microsoft Word

1. Display the PDF Converter Settings dialog box from Microsoft Word.

2. Select Use Nuance PDF Converter Assistant then click OK.

Note
When direct conversions are done from Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes, the processing mode and target are defined in the Settings dialog box. Direct conversions are offered in Windows Explorer through items in the shortcut menu of  PDF or XPS files.
