To display this panel click in the View toolbar and select Clip Art, or select View > Organizer Panels > Clip Art.

Use this panel to insert both system and custom clip art, and rename or delete clip art.

To insert a clip art

Open the document and the Clip Art panel.

Display the page where you want to insert a clip art.

Do one of the following:

Drag a clip art from the Clip Art panel onto the required place, or

Right-click a clip art and select Insert from the shortcut menu, or

Select a clip art, then drag a rectangle in the required size with the cursor shape. When you release the button, the clip art appears on the page.

To create a custom clip art

Click Create in the Clip Art panel.

Browse for a source file to be reused in future as a clip art.

Assign a group and a name to it. Click OK. The newly created custom clip art will appear in the Clip Art panel.

Click Look In to see the structure of all (system and custom) clip art categories in the Clip Art panel of the Organizer.

Note

By default all clip art groups are displayed. You can collapse the view to hide some groups. You can create new groups for your custom clip art.

To find text in a clip art name or group name

Click the Find button on the Clip Art panel toolbar.

Enter a text string to look for in the Find Clip Art dialog box and click Find.

Thumbnails containing the specified text either in their names or in their group names are displayed in the Clip Art panel.

To rename a clip art

Right-click a clip art in the Clip Art panel.

Select Rename in the shortcut menu.

To delete a clip art

Right-click a clip art in the Clip Art panel.

Select Delete in the shortcut menu.

Notes

All these commands are accessible from the shortcut menu of the Options button.

Both system and custom clip art can be renamed or deleted. The initial set of system clip art can be restored at any time: choose Reset Clip Art from the Options drop-down menu and specify whether to replace the current choice or add to it.
