I am a licensed psychologist in private practice, specializing in mobile forensic psychological assessments. I administer psychological batteries in the field (juvenile justice facilities, foster homes) on a weekly basis. I began using Dragon Naturally Speaking approximately three years ago. I administer the assessment via laptop computer which holds all of the client’s data. The results are then computer scored. I use a digital voice recorder to dictate a report immediately, sometimes while driving back to my office. The digital voice recorder is then linked to the laptop outfitted with Dragon Naturally Speaking software and the dictation is uploaded to the laptop. A report can be completed and emailed to the court within minutes. Without Dragon Naturally Speaking a report used to take 10+ hours to type. Your wonderful technology has enabled me to expedite reports and help to facilitate the treatment services the children desperately need to improve their lives. Without Dragon Naturally Speaking, practicing as a "Mobile Psych" would be much more difficult.
