Well the company has seen better days and I took a job as the IT Coordinator for an Inner City Public Charter School. This was a new experience after working for my self for so many years. The school system is all about documentation, documentation, documentation. I have never had to submit so many reports in my life. Anything you do that involves a child must be documented. If you attend a training session you must file a report. If you attend a meeting you must file a report. Everything you do report and report.
Well I’m not the fastest typist and reports began to be late. Then I remembered my dragon product. I began to bring assignments home to for completion. One of my colleagues asked me how I was completing so many reports and I began to tell them about the naturally speaking program. While talking to one of my colleagues about the product and how it worked. They thought that I may also be a great product to help students with their reading, writing and speaking skills. We decided to get the student and teacher version for evaluation. I believe the speech recognition process will help students focus on how they pronounce words. This will lead to greater public speaking skills and a greater degree of self confidence.
