Dragon Dictation 11 was working perfectly yesterday 2/20/13 and for some unexpected reason it will not work today 2/21/13. I am able to click on the program and command it to open - a window will open, then just continue to stay frozen on that window. I tried uninstalling Dragon software and re-installing it afterwards and no was not successful. Afterwards I tried a system restore and again no success. After several minutes of loading a windows box will open stating "problem could not open" and closes the program. I attempted changing the compatibility to open the program ( I tried to run using 1) windows XP service pack 2 and 3 2) windows vista 3) windows 7 [ i also tried disabling run with check box as well]) none of these attempts have been successful.
I am running on Windows 7 64bit
I have tried looking at similar blogs but have not seen many similar issues. Any suggestions of troubleshooting tips to try to get Dragon 11 up and running once again. I am curious to whether a windows update may be causing this or possibly Norton anti-virus/firewall setting.

There are two Windows ALT-Characters that are not available in Dragon Medical Practice Edition and are used some times, would be nice to have them. They are the "more than or equal to" and the "less than or equal to" symbols, respectively ALT-242 and ALT-243.
I have been a user of Dragon for several years now. Most recently, I had been using V11.5 Premium. I recently upgraded to V12 Premium. I now find that I cannot use the Premium version in the EMR that I use and only DMPE will work. I work as a psychologist. I do not need an extensive medical vocabulary and Premium meets my needs adequately. I do not wish to spend several hundreds of dollars extra for bells and whistles that I will never play. I am significantly disappointed that Nuance has decided to be a bully and block the use other versions of Dragon in EMRs. I believe that such selfish disregard for the needs of your customers is a poor business practice. Remember that it is harder to recruit new customers than to maintain established ones.My support and regard of Dragon Naturally Speaking has diminished appreciably and I do not believe that I can continue to be a supporter and advocate of your products. I would request that Nuance reconsider its myopic decision in this regard.
We have many doctors with heavy accents, while we have been able to use what is offered so far it it would be very beneficial to us if you were to add accents for Polish (or at least a European version), Lebanese, and Middle African.

When the hospital I work for switched to the Enterprise version of Dragon Medical 10.1, the ability to control custom formatting decreased from 4 pages of options to the current one. It does not seem necessary for the administraton to have taken away so must flexiblity for the individual user.
